Dordt College Men's Basketball vs. Jamestown (ND)

(Sioux Center, Iowa) Dordt College rode a 23-0 run midway through the first half to beat Jamestown in non-conference basketball Friday night. The Defenders found themselves down 11-10 with 14:01 left in the half but proceeded to score the next 23 points, holding Jamestown scoreless for nearly ten minutes. Mark Hoge finally ended the drought for the Jimmies with 4:27 left in the half and Dordt went into intermission with a 40-21 lead.

The second half found Dordt up by 28 just over five minutes into the half and the lead was never less than 19 on the way to the 95-64 win.

Dordt converted 13-23 three-point tries and 32-59 field goals for 54 percent. Jamestown made 25-61 shots and was outrebounded 47-27.

Dordt was led by Shawn Keizer and Kyle Lindbergh with 15 points each. Keizer was 5-7 on three-point shots. Lindbergh also had 10 rebounds and two assists with two steals. Jordan Vogel had 12 points and six rebounds while Austin Katje and Trevor Wolterstorff had 11 and 10 each.

Jamestown was paced by Hoge's 24 and Devon Thomas added 15 points and ten rebounds.

Jamestown in 2-1 while Dordt improves to 2-0. Dordt will host Valley City State on Saturday at 6:00 while Jamestown travels to Northwestern.
