(Sioux Center, Iowa) A 19 point second half difference was too much for the Dordt College Defender men’s basketball team to overcome on Saturday, January 9 in their 83-75 loss to the Concordia Bulldogs in conference play in Sioux Center, Iowa. The Defenders closed to within four with just over 2:00 minutes left but the Seward, Nebraska based school held on for the eight point win, making their free throws to seal the win.

Dordt started fast and built a 20-14 advantage with 9:26 left in the first half. A basket by Sam Huebner for the Bulldogs and then back to back three-pointers by Ryan Shrum pushed Concordia in front just a little over a minute later and the Bulldogs never trailed again.
