January 19, 2008

(Sioux Falls, South Dakota) The Dordt College Defender men's basketball team survived a 76-74 scare at the University of Sioux Falls Cougars on Saturday in Great Plains Athletic Conference play. Dordt was able to fend off each of Sioux Falls' advances with Mark Rowenhorst making a pair of free throws down the stretch and Logan Kingma made one of two but the win wasn't secured until Sioux Falls lost the ball to Van Zanten after a pair of missed free throws by Dordt with :05 remaining.
