Dordt College Men's Basketball vs. Robert Morris-Chicago: Robert Morris Tournament

(Chicago, Illinois) The Dordt College Defenders were turned away by the Robert Morris (Chicago) Eagles 96-84 on the home floor of the Eagles tonight. The Defenders led by as many as four points in the first half and were down by one at the half. Robert Morris pushed the lead to eight early in the second half but the Defenders came back to tie it 61-61. Much of the second half was played at a 5-8 point difference with the Eagles pulling away for the 12 point lead.
Dordt was topped by Luke Ruter, who moved into fourth all-time in scoring at Dordt College with 24 points, pushed his career total to 1409 passing Evan Beimers in the process. Eric Van Maanen came off the bench for 12 and Scott Van Zanten had 11 points. Derek Keizer had six points, five assists and four steals. Robert Morris (#6 in NAIA Division I basketball) was led by Iowa State transfer, Reggie George with 20 points and 10 rebounds.
