Dordt College Men's Basketball vs. Dana

December 18, 2004

(Sioux Center, Iowa) The Dordt Defenders fought off Dana this afternoon in a non-conference men's basketball game. The Defenders trai:led early at 17-10 before taking the lead for the first time 21-19. Slowly, the Defenders were able to build a seven point halftime cushion.

In the second half Dana came back to tie it at 48-48 with 15:00 remaining and took their first lead of the second half at 61-58 with 9:15 left. The Defenders retook the lead and the game was tied at 67 and 69 before Dordt pulled away on a Bret Van Wyk three pointer and free throws at the end.

Luke Ruter led all scorers with 24 while also taking in five rebounds. Jason Isaacson led Dana with 19 points.
