Dordt College Men's Basketball vs. Buena Vista

(Storm Lake, Iowa) The Dordt College Defenders were unable to hold off a hot shooting Buena Vista team in non-conference basketball tonight at Siebens Fieldhouse in Storm Lake. The Beavers won the high scoring affair 90-85.
The Beavers got out to a 10-0 lead before Dordt tied it at 18-18. BV held a three point lead at halftime and ballooned it to eight before Dordt tied it at 47 and took their only lead of the game at 49-47. BV extended the lead to nine in the final minutes with Dordt getting as close as four before losing by the five point margin.
Luke Ruter led Dordt with 22 points, four rebounds and three assists. Derek Keizer had nine assists to top Dordt with Bret Van Wyk (16), Brandon Haan (11) and Jim Brinks (11) rounding out the double digit scoring.
