(Sioux Falls, South Dakota) The Dordt Defenders gave up a six-point lead midway through the second half tonight before eventually losing to Sioux Falls by a final score of 83-75. The Defenders led 49-43 with 13:00 left to go in the game, but Sioux Falls hit free throws down the stretch to put the game out of reach.
Luke Ruter had 28 points and six boards to lead the Defenders. Bret Van Wyk had 20 points, while Kyle Van Arendonk chipped in 13. Sioux Falls' Steve Esselink had 27 points to lead the Cougar scoring attack.
