Dordt College Men's Basketball vs. Concordia

(Sioux Center, Iowa) The Dordt Defenders pulled a one-point upset over the eleventh-ranked Concordia Bulldogs today in GPAC conference play. Concordia had a three-point lead at 66-63 with under 20 seconds to play before Dordt's Bret Van Wyk hit a long two point basket to cut the lead to one. The Defenders then stole the inbound and scored on a Luke Ruter layup to take the lead with 4.9 seconds to go in the game. Concordia drove the length of the floor, but didn't get a shot off in time as Dordt held on for the win.

Bret Van Wyk had 21 points to lead the Defender attack. Luke Ruter and Kyle Van Arendonk chipped in 16 points apiece in the physical contest.
