(Sioux Center, Iowa) The Dordt Defenders opened the new year with a 98-81 win today in a physical match-up with Waldorf College. Luke Ruter and Bret Van Wyk had 19 points apiece to lead the way for the Defenders, who opened with a 18-point half-time lead and never looked back. Kyle Van Arendonk added 15 points and six boards, while Brandon Haan had 13 points.
