Dordt College Men's Basketball vs. Morningside

(Sioux Center, Iowa) The Dordt Defenders picked up a physical win tonight over the Morningside Mustangs. Dordt led 38-25 at halftime, but Morningside refused to go away, chipping away numerous times at the Defender lead. Dordt staved off every Mustang attempt to hold on for the win.
Luke Ruter picked up a double-double tonight with 23 points and 15 boards. Kyle Van Arendonk and Brandon Haan had 16 and 11 points, respectively.
Two Defender starters, Dan Hospers and Bret Van Wyk, fouled out in the second half of tonight's foul-ridden game, along with Morningside's Seth Thomas. The two teams combined to commit 40 personal fouls.
