Dordt College Men's Basketball vs. Concordia-GPAC Finals

(Seward, Nebraska) The Dordt Defenders saw their national tournament hopes expire tonight, losing in overtime to Concordia in the GPAC tournament finals. Dordt led the entire first half, going to the lockerroom with a five-point lead, and extended that lead to eleven points early in the second half. Concordia came roaring back, to take the lead away before Dordt tied it with a minute left in regulation to force the overtime. The Bulldogs limited Dordt to only six points in the extra period to win by eight. Seniors Evan Beimers and Eric Maas led the Defenders with 26 and 23 points, respectively, while Rick Dietze had 27 for Concordia. Beimers, Shawn De Stigter, and Luke Ruter all fouled out of the game in the final minutes.
