(Mitchell, South Dakota) The Dordt Defenders pulled out a close victory tonight, surviving a late Tiger surge for the win. Dakota Wesleyan hit a late 3-point basket to tie the score before Dordt's Evan Beimers took a pass from Shawn De Stigter and drove the lane making a layup with 1.8 seconds remaining. Dakota Wesleyan's Kory Petoske was fouled on the ensuing possession, but missed the second of two free-throws, leaving the Defenders with the one-point victory. Beimers had 23 points to lead five Defenders in double figures. Shawn De Stigter also had 4 steals for Dordt in the victory.
