Dordt College Baseball vs. Jamestown

(Tucson, Arizona) The Dordt College Defenders never led in a 5-2 loss to Jamestown in game two of their doubleheader on Tuesday in Tucson, Arizona.
Dordt gave up a run each in the first, second and third before Dordt scraped out two runs on a hit, a walk, a wild pitch and a hit batsmen. Jon Holwerda doubled in a run and Le Platt got a run in with a ground out.
Jamestown tacked on two more runs in the sixth on three hits and effectively put the game out of reach as Dordt got just one hit in the seventh before falling 5-2.
Lucas Carls pitched four innings and gave up four hits and two walks with two strikeouts. Josh Peterson came on in relief and worked the final two innings and gave up two runs on three hits and two strikeouts. Neither of Peterson's runs allowed was earned.
Cameron Gingerich was 2-4 with two singles and Jon HOlwerda had a double and a run scored and an rbi.
Dordt falls to 6-2 for the season, suffering their first losses of the season on Tuesday. Dordt will face Concordia-St. Paul on Wednesday.
