Dordt College Baseball vs. Jamestown

(Tucson, Arizona) The Dordt College baseball team scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to win game one of a doubleheader against Jamestown on Monday, March 11.
The Defenders came from one run down in the seventh to win it 4-3. A Nathan Fraley single with two outs put runners on first and second. Nick Serrato reached on an error to load the bases and another error allowed Fraley and Sam De Nooy to come across and win it. Serrato had knocked a run in during the fifth to tie the game at 2-2. Dordt's first run came across in the third when Serrato opened the scoring with a single with the bases loaded. Dordt missed an opportunity in the third for more runs when they left the bases loaded.
Serrato was 2-4 at the plate with two runs batted in. Fraley was 3-4 with a run scored and Jason Wapnick was 2-3 with two runs scored with a pair of doubles.
Josh Van Kekerix came on in relief and got the win after pitching the seventh. Lucas Carls started the game with two hits and two runs allowed and struck out three in three innings of work. Jeremy Engbers went three and struck out two with one run and one hit allowed.
