Dordt College Baseball vs. Nebraska Wesleyan

(Lincoln, Nebraska) The Dordt College Defenders were shut out in game two of their doubleheader on Monday afternoon in Lincoln, Nebraska against the Nebraska Wesleyan Prairie Wolves. Wesleyan scored two runs in the first inning on the way to the 8-0 win. Dordt allowed three runs in the fourth inning, one in the fifth and two more in the sixth.

Dordt was outhit 9-3 and got a single each from Aaron Parks, Andy Kollbaum and Bryan Wallman.

Jake Slings took the loss while working four runs and allowed five runs with a walk and three strikeouts and he allowed six hits. Jeremy Engbers gave up three runs in two innings and and struck out two with two walks and was charged with three hits.

Dordt is now 5-16 overall and 3-9 in the GPAC. Dordt is scheduled to face Mount Marty in non-conference play on Tuesday in Sioux Center, Iowa.
