Dordt College Baseball vs. Dickinson State

(Tucson, Arizona) A six run fifth inning opened up a 9-1 margin for Dickinson State on the way to a 14-1 win for the Blue Hawks over the Dordt Defenders in Tucson, Arizona.
Dickinson State got to Dordt starter John Drenten for one run in the second inning but the Defenders got that run back in the third. Nate Fraley doubled with one out and Nick Serrato followed with a single to put runners at the corners. An Andy Kollbaum single pushed a run across but the inning ended with two runner stranded and the score tied 1-1.
Dickinson State struck for two runs on four hits in the fourth and Drenten's day was done after allowing three runs on six hits and he struck out two.
Alex Wolters and Josh Peterson pitched the fifth and were touched for six runs on two hits and an error and a combined six walks. Four more runs in the sixth and another in the seventh ended the game.
Nate Fraley and Nick Serrato each had two hits while Kollbuam, Brisel, Jon Holwerda and Sam De Nooy each had a hit. Dordt was outhit 13-8 in the loss and Dordt stranded nine batters. Fraley and De Nooy each had doubles.
