Dordt College Baseball vs. Dakota State

(Madison, South Dakota) Dordt College lost a 15-6 decision in game two of their its doubleheader with Dakota State on Tuesday night in Madison, South Dakota.

The Trojans scored two in the first and five in the second before Dordt got on the board with a Travis Dekkers three-run homerun to cut the gap to 7-3. The hosts scored four more in the bottom of the third inning for an 11-3 margin.

The two teams traded three run fifth innings with Dordt getting theirs on an Aaron Parks double and a Zach Staudt single for two runs batted in. Dakota State scored one in the bottom of the sixth to end the scoring.

Dordt was outhit 14-6 with Aaron Parks getting two of the hits. Dekkers had the only other extra base hit for the Defenders other than Parks' double.

Mark Nyhoff took the loss in the start for Dordt and Ryan De Wit and John Drenten each appeared in relief.
