Dordt College Baseball vs. Northwestern

(Orange City, Iowa) Five runs by Northwestern in the third inning turned a 1-0 game into a 6-0 lead and Northwestern went on to win 7-0 on Saturday afternoon in Orange City.
Dordt got two hits on the day against Northwestern starter Ryan Brasser with Zach Staudt and Eric Anderson each knocking singles. All of Northwestern's runs in the third came with two outs in the inning and they did their damage on four hits.
Eric Torgerson took the loss with two innings pitched and six runs allowed on six hits. Jake Slings sent the next three innings and allowed one run on three hits and Mark Nyhoff went the final inning and struck out one and was perfect in the sixth frame. Ryan Brasser was the winning pitcher and allowed two hits in five innings.
Dordt ends the season with a 3-31 record and a 2-20 GPAC mark. Northwestern was 26-17 and 16-6 overall.
