Dordt College Baseball vs. Northwestern

(Orange City, Iowa) Dordt College's Patrick Sinnema limited Northwestern to three hits on Saturday afternoon in Great Plains Athletic Conference baseball, but the three hits came in a three run third inning and Northwestern won the gmae in Orange City 3-1.
Dordt took the lead with a one run second inning when Eric Torgerson doubled, was run for by Alex Frankl, advanced to third on an Eric Anderson single and was knocked in by Zach Staudt, capping the three hit inning. The Defenders stranded two as the inning came to a close.
Northwestern scored their runs in the third on three hits and Dordt did not get another baserunner in the final four innings in dropping the contest.
Dordt's other hit on the four hit afternoon was a first inning Morgan Halpert single off of Josh Kirkeby.
Sinnema takes the loss but became the all-time innings pitched leader in Dordt history, passing Troy Vander Molen's total of 210. Sinnema ends his career with 210 2/3 innings pitched. Sinnema struck out two and walked four in his final pitching start.
