Dordt College Baseball vs. Nebraska Wesleyan

(Lincoln, Nebraska) There was no comeback for Dordt in game two of their doubleheader with the Nebraska Wesleyan Prairie Wolves on Saturday afternoon in Lincoln. Following up a game one win, the Defenders surrendered five early runs to the hosts and lost an 11-1 five inning decision.
Nebraska Wesleyan banged out 15 hits in the win while Dordt had three, all singles by Travis Dekkers, Trey Schneider and Alex Brown. Dordt's run came in the third when a Travis Dekkers single scored Travis Feekes.
Tony Asta went three innings and gave up eight earned runs while walking two. Ryan Baas pitched the final inning and allowed three hits and one run.
Dordt is now 5-11 in the conference and 9-21 overall while Nebraska Wesleyan is 7-7 in the league and 11-11 overall. Dordt will host Mount Marty in a non-conference baseball game on Tuesday at 5:00. The contest is a scheduled single nine inning affair.
