Dordt College Baseball vs. Dakota Wesleyan

(Mitchell, South Dakota) The Dordt College Defender baseball team lost a 12-5 decision in game two of their doubleheader in Mitchell, South Dakota against Dakota Wesleyan on Thursday night.
The Tigers broke the game open with one run in the first and six in the second and were up 9-0 before Dordt got on the board with a Tony Asta double in the fourth that score two runs. Dordt got three more in the sixth with Kyle Davis knocking a run in with a sacrifice fly and Tony Asta smacked a run scoring double in the inning.
Dordt was outhit 14-6 in the loss with Patrick Sinnema taking the loss after three innings of work. The junior allowed nine runs on ten hits with one walk issued. Jake Slings and Eric Torgerson pitched in relief.
Asta was 2-3 at the plate with three rbi while Travis Feekes, Travis Dekkers, Phillip Sears, Jared Rayes and Ben Fife all had one hit each.
Dordt is now 2-4 in the conference and 6-14 overall heading into a doubleheader on Monday, April 5 at home against Briar Cliff.
