Dordt College Baseball vs. Morningside

(Sioux City, Iowa) A steady diet of base hits allowed the Morningside Mustangs to earn a 6-1 win over Dordt College on Friday afternoon in Sioux City, Iowa. The Mustangs didn't have one big inning but scored in four of the six innings they batted and had eight hits--four of them extra base hits to take the five run win.
The Mustangs got to Patrick Sinnema for two runs in the first, one in the second, two in the third and one in the fifth while Dordt got their lone run in the top of the fourth inning.
Dordt's run came when Eric Torgerson singled, advanced to second on a wild pitch and got to third on a passed ball. Tony Asta then got him in with a sacrifice fly for the run.
Dordt was out hit 8-5 and got two hits from Zach Staudt. Three other players, Torgerson, Ben Fife and Alex Brown all had a single each.
Patrick Sinnema absorbed the loss with six earned runs allowed on eight hits with two walks and one strikeout.
