(Sioux Center, Iowa) The Dordt College Defender baseball team was on the short end of a 16-0 score in non-conference baseball with Morningside. The Mustangs took advantage of seven Dordt errors for the single game win.

Dordt had four different players with a hit each. Josh Bowers had a double while Travis Dekkers and Dillon Peters had a single and a base on balls and Eric Anderson singled and was hit by a pitch in the loss.

Morningside scored three in the second, three in the third, four in the fourth, five in the fifth and one in the sixth.

Travis Dekkers pitched four innings and was charged with 10 runs, six of which were earned with three walks and three strikeouts. Brad Trimm pitched three innings and gave up six runs--one of which was earned and he struck out one.

Morningside got multiple hits from Mark Martindale, Jason Engleman, Thad Henderson and Jason Wysong while Kyle Suder was the winning pitcher with four innings of shutout pitching and five strikeouts.

Dordt is now 6-19 overall while Morningside is 21-13. Dordt hosts Dakota Wesleyan in a conference doubleheader on Thursday, April 2 beginning at 4:00.
