Dordt College Baseball vs. Toccoa Falls

(Lakeland, Florida) Dordt College scored two runs in the seventh inning to get a 5-4 win over Toccoa Falls in a game played at Lakeland, Florida on Wednesday, March 19. Josh Bowers and Dillon Peters each had a pair of hits and Bowers and leadoff hitter Austin Turner each had two runs scored as Dordt banged out eight hits.
Turner had a triple as well while one of Dillon Peters' hits was a double. Dordt's Bobby Lutke knocked in the winning run with a single in the seventh and Evan Pheneger and Travis De Jong each had base hits. Lutke's heroics were set up by Turner reaching on a walk and Josh Bowers following with a single. Afer a Dillon Peters grounder to the right side advanced the runners Travis De Jong was issued a free pass. A wild pitch scored Turner and Lutke knocked in Bowers with the single.
Patrick Sinnema went five innings and wasn't involved in the decision, giving up three runs, struck out three and allowed six hits. Daryl Visser came on in relief and got the win as he worked the final two innings and allowed one run on three hits.
Dordt improves to 3-5 with the win while Toccoa Falls is 10-10.
