Dordt College Baseball vs. Concordia

(Sioux Center, Iowa) Concordia's Jacob Shaffer pitched a two-hitter and shut out the Dordt College Defenders in game one of their doubleheader in Sioux Center, Iowa. The Bulldogs got all the runs they would need in the first two innings on the way to the 9-0 decision.
Concordia got two right away in the first and then tagged Patrick Sinnema for four more in the second before putting the game out of reach with two in the fifth and another in the sixth.
Dordt mustered two hits with Travis Feekes and Bobby Lutke both getting singles and the Defenders worked for three walks as a team.
Sinnema takes the loss, working four and third innings and allowing 11 hits with eight runs--seven of them earned, walked one and struck out two. Craig Horstman went two and two-thirds to close the game and allowed one hit and one runs with a strikeout.
