(Sioux Center, Iowa) Midland Lutheran scored five runs in the top of the tenth inning to break a 2-2 tie and take a split of their games with the Dordt Defenders on Friday in a Great Plains Athletic Conference matchup in Sioux Center, Iowa.
Midland Lutheran scored one in the third inning with Dordt answering right back with a run in the home half of the inning when Leland Kootstra singled and stole second base. Dordt got one more in the fourth to take a 2-1 lead when Bobby Lutke singled and advanced on a wild pitch and went to third on an Evan Pheneger sacrifice. Chris Liebhart then delivered an rbi single for the go ahead run.
