Dordt College Baseball vs. Sioux Falls

(Sioux Falls, South Dakota) The Dordt College Defender baseball team was swept by Sioux Falls in their conference doubleheader in Sioux Falls, South Dakota by an 8-0 score in game two as they were limited to three hits by Sioux Falls hurler Mike Smith.
The Cougars scored four in the first and tacked on two more in the second and fifth while sidestepping any potential problems as they banged out 15 hits against Dordt pitching.
Dordt College's hits came from Travis De Jong, Eric Van Maanen and Travis Feekes. Kyle Dieleman was the losing pitcher, going four and two-thirds innings and allowing eight runs on 13 hits and a walk. Craig Horstman worked the final inning and a third, allowing two hits. Mike Smith got the win for a Sioux Falls team that is now 21-16 overall and 17-7 in the league while Dordt falls to 4-14 and 6-26. Dordt concludes their season with a doubleheader against Northwestern on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 in Sioux Center.
