Dordt College Baseball vs. Midland (NE)

(Fremont, Nebraska) The Dordt College Defender baseball team lost a 6-1 decision Saturday afternoon in Fremont, Nebraska in a Great Plains Athletic Conference test. The Warriors scored three in the first off starter Chris Liebhart before the starter had to leave with a sore arm. Dordt got their only run in the top of the second off a solo homerun from Dillon Peters.
Midland Lutheran tacked on single runs in the second, fourth and sixth while knocking out ten total hits. The Defenders were limited to three hits off of Midland's Mike Burdine.
Peters was 2-3 at the plate and Jon Ledeboer had Dordt's other base hit. Liebhart took the loss, allowing three hits and three runs with two strikeouts in one inning of work while Scott Van Zanten pitched five innings with seven hits allowed, three runs, one walk and three strikeouts.
