Dordt College Baseball vs. Concordia

(Seward, Nebraska) The Concordia Bulldogs scored three runs in the first inning and tacked on five more in the third and fourth combined on their way to an 8-1 decision over the Dordt College Defenders in Great Plains Athletic Conference baseball on Friday in Seward, Nebraska.
The Defenders lone run came in the seventh innig when Travis Feekes singled, advanced on a passed ball and eventually scored on a two-out single by Eric Van Maanen to prevent the shutout.
Feekes was 2-3 with a run scored while the other three hits were singles for Van Maanen, Scott Van Zanten and Jon Ledeboer.
Alex Jansen took the loss in three and a third innings of work, allowing eight runs on ten hits with three walks and two strikeouts. Daryl Visser appeared in relief and toiled for two a two-thirds innings, allowing two hits with a walk and two strikeouts. Spencer was the winner for Concordia, scattering five hits and striking out nine.
