Dordt College Baseball vs. Nebraska Wesleyan

(Sioux Center, Iowa) Dordt prevailed in the second game of their double header winning their second straight over Nebraska Wesleyan 4-2.
Wesleyan started off the scoring bringing in 1 in the 2nd. Dordt rallied for three in the bottom of the 2nd scoring three runs by virtue of three walks, Jeremy Hilt getting hit by a pitch with the bases full, an Eric Van Maanen fielder's choice and a Scott Van Zanten single. Wesleyan scored another in the 3rd but failed to come back. Dordt tagged another on in the 6th when Derek Peters singled, gave way to a pinch runner--Bryan Geels, who advanced on a sacrifice and moved to third on a Jeremy Hilt single. Eric Van Maanen then singled Geels in for the run and Dordt went on to win 4-2.
Wesleyan scored 2 runs on 6 hits and committed one error. Dordt scored four runs on six hits and also committed one error. Van Maanen, Van Zanten, DeJong, Lutke, Peters and Hilt all recorded hits while Van Maanen drove in two runs. Liebhart pitched all seven innings giving up only six hits and two earned runs while striking out eight and walking one.
Dordt wins their 2nd straight and advances to 5-15, 3-7 in the conference while Wesleyan falls to 15-10, 7-5 in the GPAC.
