(Sioux Center, Iowa) Dordt suffered a loss on Saturday at home against Dakota Weslyan, losing 5-1 in the first game of the double header.

Dakota Wesleyan came out swinging and scored 2 runs in the top of the 1st. Dordt matched one of those runs when Scott Van Zanten was hit by a pitch, advanced to second on a Dillon Peters single and eventually scored on a throwing error, but it would be the only one they scored, allowing Wesleyan to score 3 more in the 3rd. Dordt recorded 1 run, 3 hits, and 3 errors. Bobby Lutke earned 2 of those hits while Dillon Peters recorded 1. Van Zanten was the only Dordt player to cross home plate. Jansen pitched 7 innings giving up eight hits and only 1 earned run.
