Dordt College Baseball vs. Oklahoma Wesleyan

(Bartlesville, Oklahoma) The Dordt College Defender baseball team surrendered a two-out, two run single in the bottom of the seventh inning in today's 8-7 loss to Oklahoma Wesleyan in Bartlesville, Oklahoma in the first game of their doubleheader on Oklahoma Wesleyan's homefield.
Scott Van Zanten took the loss, surrendering the full count, bases loaded bleeder to centerfield, capping a three run seventh inning for the hometeam.
Dordt was led by Jon Ledeboer's three hits, one of which was a double and he scored a run. Travis De Jong slugged a two-run homerun in the loss while Evan Pheneger had a team high three runs scored with a run batted in a two singles. Daryl Visser belted a single adn a double in the loss.
The Defenders scored two runs in the first inning when Travis De Jong belted is homerun with Evan Pheneger on base and pushed another two across in the second on a Jeremy Hilt two-run single that scored Jon Ledeboer and Evan Pheneger for a 4-1 lead. The Defenders plated a run in the top of the seventh on a Bobby Lutke sacrifice fly to make it 7-5 but couldn't hold the lead.
Chris Liebhart pitched five innings and allowed three runs and was not involved in the decision for Dordt College.
