Dordt College Baseball vs. Northwest Oklahoma State-Phoenix Invitational

(Phoenix, Arizona) The Dordt Defender baseball team lost a 13-1 five inning decision today to highly regarded Northwest Oklahoma State in the first of two games played in a doubleheader at Phoenix, Arizona.
Kyle Dieleman took the loss for the Defenders as he went three innings, allowing eight hits and six runs, three of which were earned with a walk and three strikeouts. Bryan Andriese and Derek Greydanus both worked in relief.
Dillon Peters scored the Defenders' only run in the second inning when Jeff Zomer sacrificed him in with a fly ball.
Peters was 2-3 at the plate, Scott Van Zanten 1-2 and Nate Daane 1-2. All of Dordt's hits were singles.
