Tara Boer
Volleyball Assistant Coach
Tara Boer joined the Defender volleyball program for the 2012 season. Boer is one of three Dordt College volleyball players to earn NAIA First Team All-American honors. She claimed first team honors in 2004 and second team honors in 2005. She is the all-time leader in kills at Dordt College (rally scoring) with 2,311 kills and is the leader in kills per set with a 4.13 average.
While at Dordt, Boer helped the Defenders to a 134-20 overall record and a 62-2 GPAC match mark. The Defenders won three straight GPAC regular season and post-season tournament titles. Boer graduated from Dordt College in 2006 with a degree in social work and is an adjunct instructor in the Dordt College sociology/social work department.
