Claimed second-team all-state honors in 2006 and earned all-conference first team honors at defensive end in 2006 and 2007 and was a honorable mention selection as a fullback (2007) and a second-team all-conference pick in 2006 at tight end. Torgenson plans to play baseball for the Defenders in the spring.

Trimm led the state of New York in total yardage, yards per game and total completions and was selected to participate in the Section 3 John Arcaro All-Star Game. He was a first-team all-league, Class D selection and he earned the US Army Reserve National Scholar-Athlete Award at the conclusion of the 2007-2008 school year.
