ENSEMBLES
Campus-Community Band
The Dordt College Campus-Community Band is dedicated to the study and performance of significant literature for winds and percussion. Beginning in fall 2003, community adults and outstanding high school students who wish to supplement their study and performance of band music were welcomed into membership. Typically the ensemble consists of 50-60 musicians.
Mr. Bradley Miedema, director of instrumental music, conducts the Campus-Community Band, as well as the Concert Band. Dordt's wind ensemble program also includes the Jazz Band and smaller chamber ensembles.
Recent Campus-Community Band repertoire includes:
- English Folk Song Suite by Ralph Vaughan Williams
- Pas Redouble by Camille Saint-Saëns
- Elegy for a Young American by Ronald Lo Presti
- Dedicatory Overture by Clifton Williams
