Chamber Orchestra
The Chamber Orchestra is a select group of 20 to 30 string players who perform works for string orchestra and are regularly joined by some of Dordt's finest student and faculty wind players for performances of chamber orchestra music. String players at Dordt College divide their rehearsal time between the Chamber Orchestra and the Northwest Iowa Symphony Orchestra (NISO).
Bradley Miedema, director of instrumental music, conducts the Chamber Orchestra and serves as the music director for the Northwest Iowa Symphony Orchestra.

- Adagio for Clarinet and Strings by Richard Wagner
- Winter from The Four Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi
- Liebesleid by Fritz Kreisler
- Hungarian Dance No. 5 by Johannes Brahms
- Symphony No. 104 by Joseph Haydn
- Simple Symphony by Benjamin Britten
- Concerto in E Minor for Flute, Oboe and String Orchestra by Johann Fasch
- I Crisantemi by Giacomo Puccini
The Chamber Orchestra is also involved in a variety of tours throughout North America.
Anyone interested in visiting a rehearsal of the Dordt College Chamber Orchestra may come to the instrumental room Monday nights from 7:30 to 10 p.m. (alternating between Chamber Orchestra and NISO) and Wednesdays from 5 to 6:05 p.m. Prospective students are encouraged to apply for scholarships and to submit an audition form.
