Dordt College Alumni Association ScholarshipsThe Dordt College Alumni Association awards scholarships to three second-semester juniors to be used for their senior year. Students in any area of study at Dordt College with a 3.25 cumulative GPA are eligible to apply for these scholarships. Applicants must submit a 2-3 page essay as outlined on the scholarship application form. Essay finalists will be asked to do a personal interview with the Alumni Association board. |

Bloemendaal Organ ScholarshipDavid and Joyce Bloemendaal fund this scholarship for a continuing Dordt College student One $300 scholarship is awarded each year to a student entering the sophomore, junior or senior year, who shows Christian commitment and contribution to church organ music programs as well as the Dordt College organ music program. The recipients are not required to major in music, need not be a music major; however, a 2.50 minimum cumulative GPA is required. Jeffrey A. Alons Theatre Arts ScholarshipThe family of Jeffrey A. Alons established this scholarship in his memory. Jeff graduated from Dordt College in 1986 with a theater arts and English major. He worked in professional theater until his death in 1995. This $500 scholarship is for a student pursuing a theatre arts area of study, although not necessarily a theatre arts major. Baccam Life Service ScholarshipDordt College alumni Syla and Tanya Baccam established this scholarship to recognize and encourage students who demonstrate a lifestyle of commitment to Christ’s service in everyday life, at home and around the world. Applicants will write a short paper to portray how they live a life of service every day, and how that life service fits with their talents and goals. This scholarship is open to all majors, and although recipient selection will not be based on academic records applicants must be in good academic standing.
