Magazines and newspapers today often feature columns on fitness and health. Celebrities and fitness experts all claim to have the magic formula for reaching the personal fitness levels we all seek.
Dordt College's Health and Human Performance (H.H.P) program doesn't offer just another fad; it helps students learn the key to long-term fitness within the context of a broader perspective of living in God's world.
"The emphasis in Dordt's program is on the life and development of the whole person," says Craig Stiemsma, chair of the H.H.P Department. "The physical aspect of life is closely related to social, spiritual, emotional, and intellectual aspects. Our program emphasizes the importance of physical health as a way to balance a life that is focused on serving our Lord."
