Dordt College offers an accredited major in engineering from which you can select an emphasis in mechanical, electrical, civil-environmental, computer, or biomedical engineering.
- Mechanical engineers design and develop everything from wheelchairs to solar collectors to refrigerators.
- Electrical engineers develop the systems that move energy and information in our world. Anything you plug in likely had an electrical engineer involved.
- Civil-environmental engineers plan buildings, bridges, roads, and other structures. They also design clean air and water systems.
- Computer engineers do computer system design, construction, and operation. They design and program the logic devices that keep mechanisms operating safely and efficiently.
