Outcomes
Dordt's program is approved by the Iowa Department of Education, and Dordt graduates are eligible for Iowa licensure. Iowa's requirements are highly respected, and Iowa licensure can be used to obtain a teaching license in any other state or province. When our students begin teaching, they may find that the state where they begin teaching has a few different requirements, but the states will give new teachers time to meet those after beginning to teach.
Our placement records show that our students are readily hired in states and provinces across North America.
Dordt College alumni are respected nationally and internationally for their expertise and Christian commitment. In the last five years, more than 90 percent of our graduates have found teaching positions in 48 states, most Canadian provinces, and 26 foreign countries.
Administrators speak highly of our graduates and their readiness to teach, and they continue to turn to Dordt College graduates to fill teaching vacancies when needs arise.
