Career Opportunities
Dordt graduates have found positions in a wide range of businesses and non-profit organizations, government agencies, manage-ment information services, and other areas.
Over the past ten years, more than 98 percent of our graduates have found jobs within six months of graduation. They have taken positions such as:
- accountant with Eide Bailey
- operations analyst with Wells Fargo
- commodity broker with BDF Investments
- security representative with Citibank
- network administrator with Blackwell Consulting
After five years on the job, many alumni report that their broad-based, comprehensive education has given them the tools to advance more quickly than their co-workers who have attended more specialized programs.
Some graduates have gone directly into M.B.A. and Ph.D. programs at schools across the country, including Harvard, Yale, Georgetown, Syracuse, Vanderbilt, and California State universities, and the University of Iowa. Others have entered law school.
The number of our students who pass the CPA exam on the first attempt is above the national average. Some graduates received special recognition for their achievement on the exam, including the Sells Award, which is presented to students who have the top 50 scores in the nation on the exam.
