Students who want to work for medical organizations can add a medical emphasis to their degree by adding human physiology and anatomy or medical terminology courses which includes BIO 201 and 202, or 357.
It is easy to transition to a four-year major since the courses that administrative assistants take also satisfy many of the core requirements for other programs. Each year, administrative assistant students return to Dordt College to work toward four-year degrees in business education, business administration, or communication; some even enter fields unrelated to business.
